Sanford Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders
Sanford Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders (SCTED), a division of Sanford Behavioral Health, is proud to announce the opening of the first standalone residential treatment center for eating disorders in Michigan! This facility is the capstone of our complete continuum of care. We offer Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization Programs at our Grand Rapids location, while the residential facility is located just 12 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids on 12 rural acres. Plans are in place to develop a greenhouse and walking trails on the campus to take advantage of the beauty of Michigan’s four seasons.
In early 2021, Sanford Behavioral Health acquired the assets of Comprehensive Treatment for Eating Disorders. Sanford has a history of providing excellent treatment for substance use disorders, while SCTED is known for providing high quality, interdisciplinary treatment for eating disorders. By combining our staff, expertise, and the vision of the founders, we intend to be the premiere facility for treating eating disorders in Michigan. Eventually we will be opening units for substance use, mood disorders, and trauma treatment on the same campus, allowing us to treat eating disorders and co-existing conditions simultaneously.
We are currently accepting adult female patients; we have a 22-bed capacity. Our approach is evidence based, trauma informed, and person centered, and can be individualized due to our small size.
